Map of the Galaxy
The galaxy map is one of the most important parts in the game, and it is very important to learn how to use it. It will help you navigate the galaxy, which consists of 400 billion star systems. The first thing you will see after turning on the map (it is suggested to connect the "M" button, since by default the map can only be opened using the "navigation" tab on the left panel) is a fairly small area of the system that surrounds you and a key with a description. Different information may be important for each player, depending on the player's activities in the game, but everyone will find something interesting here.
In the window displayed by the selected star system, you will see the name of the system, your distance from it, and five buttons. Their function on the left is system selection, route planning, detailed system map, continuous cartographic data collection, and 24-hour trade data collection.
The last two buttons are important for those who are not pioneers, and for sellers. Getting cartographic details allows the player to see a detailed map with all the objects in the area. On the other hand, a trade purchase provides information about imported/exported goods.
It is available only 24 hours, because savings do not stand still, and in 24 hours it can change dramatically. If any button is highlighted in red, it means that the station is not providing this specific information.
If you are interested in complex system-specific details, simply click the "View System" button that appears after hovering over the star. It displays a diagram of the system, as well as its satellites, planets, stations, and asteroid fields. The key includes information for astronomy enthusiasts and potential merchants. Clicking on any item in this window will display a lot of data about a lot of branches.
Let's go back to the main map window and go to the "navigation" tab. One of the most important functions here is route planning.
