Games like GTA: TOP 5 GTA is by far one of the most popular PC video game series, featuring an open virtual world, great freedom of action and the use of all vehicles to move around. However, in addition to GTA, there are similar projects with the same gameplay features.
Mafia
A 3D shooter with an emphasis on the storyline, consisting of three parts, which tells about the characters involved in the affairs of the mafia. The game takes place in the recent past in America. As in GTA, you can drive cars, explore the world and participate in colorful firefights.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Created by the same developers, only now the events take place not in modern times, but in the 19th century in the Wild West of the United States. The main character is a professional bandit who, together with his gang, is trying to hit the jackpot and go to rest. An open world, a bunch of main and secondary quests, unlimited freedom of action are included.
Saints Row
The series has often been called a clone of GTA, only the plot here is much more fun and crazier. Also, the gamer can create his own character in each part, who will become the leader of the gang, the president and even the ruler of the whole Earth. The plots of each game in the series are really hardcore - from confronting demons to fighting an alien invasion.
L.A. Noire
Another game from Rockstar that takes you to 1950s Los Angeles this time. The main character is a policeman who is investigating a case of drug trafficking and corruption in the highest circles of city officials. Unlike GTA, here the user cannot create madness, but is obliged to abide by the law - this is where the main differences end.
Far Cry
A first-class action series that throws the gamer either into the tropical jungle or into the snowy Himalayas. The virtual world in all cases is completely open and gives great freedom of action. The emphasis in the series is on the exploration of the world and endless shootouts, clearing roadblocks, bases and hunting for wild animals. These are just some of the games that deserve to be on par with GTA, and they should also include Just Cause, Sleeping Dogs and Watch Dogs.
